My debut novel, Gannon – The Prophet of Fomalhaut, is a thrilling science fiction exploration that invites readers into my vision of the 25th century, where we are colonizing the solar system.
This book introduces my main character, Alex Gannon, who has a mysterious origin aboard the ark ship Seelenreise, which returned unexpectedly from its quest to seed humanity with life on a distant star.
He is thought to be a mercenary, but the Intra-Sol Federation can prove none of it. He takes on small jobs and occasionally, a big one finds its way to him.
The sixth space station in the Issac Asminov belt, which calls itself Fomalhaut, has a prophecy foretelling its destruction. Two have already died, in accordance with other prophecies. Alex Gannon finds things and people, and they want the prophet found.
The 25th Century in Space
In my Gannon novels, I imagine a future drawing inspiration from the classic rotating-wheel space station design and Gerard K. O’Neill’s cylindrical space colonies, creating a miles-long, miles-wide orbiting playground for my protagonist’s stories. Electric drive replaces the expelled propellants of contemporary spacecraft, enabling trips between planets with constant acceleration and deceleration that take not years but days. The stars begin to come within our reach. Colonization ships are sent, but fail. Alex E. Gannon comes from one of those ships. Though he’s the only one who still knows the truth of what happened, he stays silent, saying nothing of what they’d found among the stars.
I am currently working on three additional titles that will expand this universe, each filled with unique characters and captivating stories.
